Flu Vaccines for the coming flu season are available in office.  The CDC (Center for Disease Control) recommends to get them as early as NOW.  It takes 10-14 days after you receive your vaccine injection to build immunity. The longevity of the vaccine will get you through the whole flu season so it is a MYTH to wait later until you start seeing more of a flu outbreak!  And remember, the main reason for flu vaccine is not just to improve immunity for the individual themselves, but to decrease the risk of contracting the Flu virus and spreading to infants and children, child-bearing mothers, the immunocompromised (such as people with cancer, recent hospitalization, diabetes, heart disease, autoimmune disease (i.e. Rheumatoid Arthritis/Lupus/and others), and the elderly, etc.  YOU CAN SAVE LIVES BY GETTING YOUR FLU VACCINE!
